I am a beginner. I am an author and college teacher. I have written and researched Bosnia, but would like very much to learn some of the language. I would need help with everything. But mostly I'm interested in conversationa l Bosnian. I would be able to do a two-week intensive (if I go to Chicago or MD) or could maybe do once a week for several months (if I went to MD). I would prefer immersion, though I realize this wouldn't probably be an option with an occasional class. I was a language teacher myself (ESL) and think it is the best option if possible.

I'm a 25 year old International social science student that just wrote my bachelor thesis about the Dayton peace agreement and the developments in Bosnia after the war.
It's my ambition to go to Bosnia this summer 2005 and hopefully spend 1 month or more learning the bosnian language both grammar and conversation. I want to do this because I will hopefully later in my university program have a term abroad working in Bosnia. Whereever in BiH is ok but Sarajevo would be really nice.
I want an opportunity to experience what I've been writing about in real life.

Hello, I have little experience speaking any bosnian, aside from a few phrases learned while travelling.I have an intense interest in the region and would like to revisit the region in a year and a half or so. I would appreciate being able to communicate beyond the very basics. I would prefer an hour every two weeks. In a teacher, i'd like to have alot of independence to practice on my own with workbooks or texts of some type.

I can understand and speak a little bosnian and I have a slight grasp of the grammer. I would like to learn the language to be able to communicate with my friends and their parents. I would like to mostly use this language for communication so that would be the focus of my learning. I would be able to dedicate one-two hours per lesson up to 5 days per week. However since I live on my own, I have a very limited budget. I would like a teacher who is helpful, talks with the student not at them, nice, and likes to have fun while learning.
