Hello, I'm a college student interested in learning Thai. I'm currently in Seattle for holiday break, but I'm usually in Walla Walla, Washington studying as a full time student at Whitman College. I'm a beginner interested in learning thai in order to communicate with family and friends in Thailand, and to pursue a future career there. I'm unsure about your resources in Walla Walla, but I would be more than happy to dedicate 2-4 hours per week while I'm in Seattle until the 18th, and when I return home for future breaks. I'm looking for a teacher who is enthusiastic, charismatic, patient, and skilled. Please give me information on availability and rates.

My proficiency in this language is at a basic level. I do know basic questions, statements etc. but I need to learn to speak fluently in the thai language. I am learning this for career development, also I will be moving to thailand in the near future, so I would like to get a basic understanding of the language and even possibly how to read it. As of right now I can do about 1-2 hours a week, this could change in the future depending on the quality of the tutoring. Qualities im looking for in a teacher is someone easy to understand and someone easy going. Other than that I don't really have a preferance.

I am writing on behalf of a Korean who does not speak English. He knows no Thai at all yet, but wishes to learn Thai language well enough to find a job here, preferrably in the area of Rangsit Klong 2, not far from Future Park Shopping Mall. He is staying here until about March 13 and hopes to find a Korean-speaki ng teacher of Thai language in this area.

I have no experience in speaking Vietnamese and only a little in speaking Thai.
The reason for my interest in these languages is due to my passion in travelling and I hope to explore both Vietnam and Thailand during my semester breaks more frequently as my dad father in Thailand and i have friends who resides in Vietnam. Hence, I would like to learn more regarding their culture and their country so I would need more work on my speech. However, I would like to learn how to read and write them too.
I am willing to dedicate 6 hours per week, 3 for each subject. However, furthur discussions can be made.
The teacher I am looking for should be serious about teaching and bringing out the best that I can be, insistent that I finish the work required as I might procrastinate due to my other commitments.
