I am a beginner with some immersion experience and very little informal training. I have tried to continue learning through friends and Rosetta Stone, but feel I lack the discipline to reach the next level without a formal tutor. I'd like to begin learning Arabic seriously. I'm interested in the language and the region, and feel that it would be an asset to my professional profile. I'd like to start at the basics and continue with 1 teacher well beyond fluency. I speak Spanish fluently and feel that I do have an above average ability to learn foreign languages.
I'd like to meet with a native speaker with prior teaching experience twice a week. This teacher should have a concrete lesson plan, give homework assignments, and incorporate a variety of tools into our sessions.
