Description |
I am looking to learn Japanese for the purpose of going over to japan for extended periods of time for both business and for fun. I have no experience and do not speak any Japanese at all.
I can dedicate 3 hours a day to my lessons.
I would like my teacher to be patient and very well versed Japanese. I would like her/him to be able to test me and have a good personality.

Hello,
I am a student looking to learn the art of Japanese language. Languages have recently been a passion of mine, and I love to study the different characteristi cs and quriks of a language, I find understanding to be a beautiful thing and strive to one day be able to know a little bit of every language.
I am a beginner in Japanese and have taught myself Hiragana and Katakana, and know very little kanji. I would love to broaden my horizons and hope to be able to have a full conversation. Since I know such basic things, I believe I need work in all fields. I would like to know Japanese not only for personal use but I plan to go to Japan in the near future and would like to be prepared for what lies ahead. I would especially love to be able to read, a future piece of Japanese text I would love to read is 'One litre of tears.
I will dedicate at least half and hour to an hour a day, and three hours or more on the weekend towards learning the language in order to truly get an understanding of the language.

Description |
I am learning Japanese in school and have been for a few years. However, while my grasp of vocabulary is quite high, my understanding of grammar seems insufficient. I can read and listen to Japanese and comprehend it well, I can only compose the most basic of sentences. As my aim is fluency, this frustrates me greatly. I would be interested in dedicating around 1-2 hours to tutoring time a week, as my schedule does not permit much more. Any teacher with fluency in both Japanese and English would be wonderful, although years of experience are important as well; and a considerable deal of patience would certainly make the tutor's job much easier.

Description |
I'm continuing my Japanese studies from my exchange in Japan, which I just returned from. I do not want to lose what I have learned.
I am beginner-inte rmediate....pr obably closer to intermediate.
I really really need to improve my conversationa l and listening skills. I am very shy, so I need to learn that it is okay to make mistakes in front of people.
I would like to have lessons of 2 hours a week.
I am looking for a teacher who emphasizes learning conversationa l and every day Japanese, but also someone who will teach me the differences between formal and casual Japanese. Also, encourage me to take vocabulary and Kanji quizes each week, so that I have some motivation to memorize.
