Interested in face-to-face instruction at the beginning level for conversationa l Mandarin Chinese for the purposes of personal enrichment and the possiblity of travel to China. Requested location for lessons is in a private residence for two, possibly three adult learners. We are flexible regarding time dedicated to language lessons and request recommendatio ns from the instructor regarding typical length of each lesson, frequency of lessons, and total duration of a beginner's language course. We prefer availability during weekdays in the morning, perhaps around 10:30 or 11:00am. Otherwise, the main quality we are looking for in an instructor is to be able to understand their English if they are a native Chinese teacher.

I'm a married 36 year old who works in the telecommunica tions industry. I have been studying on my own for the last year with 'chinesepod.c om' and can now have small broken conversation, order food, and buy things. I do think that having a teacher would better improve my mandarin. I live near Fort Worth, but can travel to Dallas for lessons. Group lessons are OK.
