The main reason why I am interested in learning Cantonese would be career advancement. As an aspiring police officer in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)I have noticed there is a large and constantly growing number of people who speak either Cantonese and/or Mandarin. Language barriers often make it difficult to communicate, and there is a growing demand for multilingual officers especially in such a diverse community.
M y proficiency level is only beginner but I am excited and determined to learn.
In terms of time I want to say as much as necessary, however I am a working full time student. So for starters I would like to begin at approximately 5 hours a week and adjust accordingly based on how well I am developing.
What I am looking for is someone who is enthusiastic, passionate, and shares my love of learning. However I am not saying I want this to be easy nor do I think it will be, but I am excited nonetheless and want someone who will push me to help achieve my goals

I am hoping to learn Irish Gaelic because I am about to move to Limerick, Ireland. When I am there, I not only hope to teach (Secondary level English and Art), but I hope to embrace the community by having something extra to offer.
I am a complete novice. I have never spoken a work of Gaelic, either Scottish or Irish. I imagine I would need annunciation and conversation first and foremost, but grammar is important to me too! I will be moving to Limerick in August, so I would end my sessions then, and most likely find someone locally--this would mean 2-3 months of lessons.
I would like a teacher with patience and a sense of humour, otherwise the process won't be fun.
