I am looking to learn the German language. My husband and his family are German and are all fluent in German. I am a beginner and know just a few words and phrases in this language. I am in a position where I can dedicate 2-3 hours a week of direct learning time and I can do at home studying on an ongoing basis. Since my husband is fluent in German we can do practice and learning at home as well.
I would like a teacher who can give me a good foundation to the language and can provide strong assistance in pronuciation.

I live in Switzerland now and learning and taking German. I am sort of a beginner. I have my books with me from my coarses and i would like to continue my studies so I dont forget my german while i am away.
I am interested in seeing someone maybe twice a week for amonth... someone who i could talk with and go through my book with. Do you have anyone like this who could help me. I prefer to have a women teacher if that is possible.

Gutten Tag! I would like to take some German lessons so I can survive and carry on some conversation when I am in Germany. I am a beginner and I am willing to spend 3 to 4 hours a week for the lessons. I would like live lessons and also some on-line lessons to progress a bit faster. The lessons could be one on one or with a small group (max of 8 to 10). I live in Embrun Ontario (35 km East of Ottawa) so I would prefer lessons that would be in the East part of Ottawa. Ideally, the I would like the lessons to be on Saturday mornings. If not available, any night of the week would do. For your info, my mother tongue is French and I am fluent in English. Learning a foreign language is not only a passion but also a career advancement since in the future I would like to become a translator/in terpreter. My Italian proficiency would be at an intermediate level whereas my German would be at the very beginning.
For my Italian I would love to improve on my grammaer and oral skills.
For my German, on the other hand, I would love to learn everything from Grammar to conversation to vocabulary and so forth.
Since I'm currently in University and I'm already juggling five courses I would like to say that I want to dedicate at least one to two times a week but it may change depending on my course load.
The qualities that I seek in a teacher and a lesson is clear explanations about grammar, patience, activities in which I can practise and apply what I have learned and some background knowledge about the culture to further understand the make-up of the language.
