proficiency : i think a little more compared to a beginner as i know-read, write and speak a little as i'm a chinese myself. (eg. heng, shu, pie..; numbers-hao ma; body parts-shen ti; family-jia ren; animals-tong u; greetings; etc)
why learn? : because i'm ashamed to be called a chinese when i cant read, write or speak chinese well. And also because China BOOMING-it's very advantages language for my future career.
impr ovement : grammar, conversation, writting and all the necessary stuffs (if possible calligraphy as well)
time : i just finished my a-level examinations and i'm entering the 2008 Mac, Law degree intake. So, I basically have all the time in the world. And i don't mind long hours (apprx-5hrs) classes.
whe n? : end of July(flying down to Shanghai). Possibly start class in August untill January.
tea cher : a person who loves teaching and have patience in tranning. Teachers who have their own creative and innovative ways of teaching, coaching and tranning.
ce ntre : i'm actually not sure of either attending a language center or a university to learn mandarin. But i definately don't want to having a private tuition. So please advice me.
(extra) : i'm looking forward to attend a class of about 4-6 students as studying with a group of people whom you can practise with will make the learning and correction process faster.
PS: Teachers, you don't definately have to suit the requirements above. As long as you have faith in teaching, i think that'll do.

First,I want to present myself:I am Pieter Smit and live in the Netherlands.I have learned to know a Chinese woman called Yindi Du,which lives in Wuhan.The both of us have decided to marry and live together in The Netherlands.M y Strangers Law demands,that she first pass an exam Dutch language(exam material:`Naa r Nederland`)at the Dutch Embassy in Beijing and then apply for MVV a kind of visa to entry my country.Recen tly I have sent her money to join a language class,but she cannot find a class in Dutch language.The books,CD,DVD + 2 dictionaries( Dutch-Chinese & Chinese-Dutch ) for the exam at the Dutch Embassy in Beijing,alrea dy bought,have been sent to her home address in Wuhan.Further I have bought a simple Dutch grammar book explained in Chinese and also a book + 2 CD`s with spoken language,trai nings and some grammar,which I`ll send her too.Yindi doesn`t know English.Dutch conversation lessons are she requires starting as a beginner.She has planned a full day education in a class,but now that does not seem to be possible,she will settle for less hours a day!Hopefully you are the one-a Chinese speaking(Mand arin)person-,w hich could give her Dutch coversation lessons,sotha t she is capable to pass that exam in Dutch language at the Dutch Embassy in Beijing.Witho ut that exam we cannot realize our plans as a married couple in The Netherlands.S o you see these lessons are very important for us.Could you help us?
