I am looking to teach English in Japan starting inJanuary 2007. I will be returning to the states in the beginning of August 2006 and wish to learn enough basic Japanese to get me around the country. I have no experience in speaking the Korean language. I am looking dedicate 3 nights a week until I leave for Japanese. I am looking for a patient teacher with a good knowledge of the language and cultural customs.

I've had 24 credit hours of Japanese language study - 8 hours of Elementary Japanese at my home school in the US and 16 hours of lower intermediate Japanese at the Tokyo International University.
That being said, I'll say that I'm a bit rusty since it's been 2 years since I was in Japan studying. I'm looking to possibly work my way up back to, and beyond if possible, my previous language level. I'm intending to continue my official education in Japanese in hopes of becoming fluent.
I' m primarily interested in the spoken langauge, though any help on the written would be appreciated.
I've found it discouraging trying to find tutors in my area, so I'm willing to work over the internet. I have access to the internet as well as to a scanner and anything probably anything else necessary.

I'm a beginner in refrence to learning japanese. I've been trying to learn it since 6th grade on my own seeing as though I didn't have access to any language classes. At the moment, I'm learning Japanese so that I can travel to Japan as an exchange student and go there in the future. I need particular help in grammar and in some cases conversation.
