I am half Russian and I want to be able to speak Russian well enough to be able to live in Russia or go to school/univer sity there when I get older. I can speak basic Russian and understand fairly well but have a lot of trouble with grammar and some aspects of pronunciation - especially è û à ÿ î ¸ ó þ etc. I sometimes can't hear the difference and often can't say these sounds well. I would like to be able to have a lesson once a week using skype if possible.

I would like to continue learning Russian because I am interested in the language itself, Russian culture, and I may want to potentially work in Russia in the future. At the moment I am definitely a beginner. I did study abroad in St. Petersburg for three months which gave me a base to work with but I want to continue learning Russian now. Areas where I need particular improvement are definitely grammar and conversation. I would like to dedicate 6 to 10 hours a week but that also depends on the cost of classes and I would prefer to have one on one classes but I am open for other options. What I look for in a teacher is someone who is patient, creative, and who has a good sense of humor.
