I am a beginner/inte rmediate level Japanese speaker, and I wish to continue increasing my level of proficiency. I have always been interested in Japanese culture, and as I am an engineer I realize that the US must continue to partner with other nations in order for the good of everyone.
I can (and do on my own) dedicate a large amount of time to studying spoken Japanese. I feel that I most need help with grammer, and to practice everyday conversationa l skills.
The qualities that I would look for in a teacher are: native speaker, ability to explain proper usages, and someone with patience and a friendly personality.

I am a beginner, I know a few words. I want to learn Japanese because one day I want to move to Japan. I need probably more help in writing Japanese kanji (the lettering is called Kanji right??) if it is possible, if not then I need help in pernouncing words, also memorizing words. I will dedicate as much time as I have to to learn Japanese. I also would prefer a teacher that is patient, i'm sort of difficult to teach (sometimes).

I am a beginner in learning Japanese. I want to learn Japanese because I love the Japanese culture and I hopefully want to live there for a period of time. I am a beginner in all of the above languages. I would like to learn the languages above for career advancement and because of living in an area with a great variety of people from other countries, I have the opportunity to practice the language with those people.
I would like to devote 10-20 hours a week to learning any one of the above languages.
I work two jobs, so it would be difficult to devote more time.
I would like to learn the language from someone who is experienced in teaching correct pronuciation and can teach using a variety of methods. I learn language best by repetition. It is much easier for me to learn to read and write a language than it is for me to learn to pronounce the correct sounds.
