I'm from Finland and have lived in Denmark for two years. I've been studying Danish from the beginning, but I changed cities after a few months, and had to take an assessment test before entering my new language school. As a result I ended up going directly from Danish module 1 to module 4. I think, that I've missed out on lot of the basics, because of that. I took Prøve i Dansk 3 in the beginning of June this year with an average grade of 6.3 (læseforståel se 10, skriftlig fremstilling 7, mundtlig kommunikation 4).
I'm mainly interested in some conversationa l lessons, as well as reading together, so I can practice my pronunciation .
I would like to meet up once a week.

Career advancement, brushing up my english, having the fluency i need to be able to get prepeared to the TOEFL exams. I could say im an intermediate level english student, but i think im better in grammar than conversation. . but i need to improve all areas..listen ing, speaking and writing.

I am currently studying in Copenhagen and I am looking for private lessons in Portuguese, because my new girlfriend is from Brazil. I am an absolute beginner and want to learn all aspects of the language, especially conversation. I can dedicate 2-4 hours per week to my language lessons. Hi,
I need hjælp!! :-)
I, and my partner, are Australians, living in Copenhagen. I will have been here three years later this year. We had only planned to stay here a year but like it so we're staying longer.
I did take one module when I first got here but found the classes hard to get to. They started at 17.30 and I very rarely finish work at 17.00 - let alone then travelling to the school.
Wo rk then also provided some in the morning but then with the financial crisis they stopped.
Years ago I did Swedish at university but remember very little of it but I'm a reasonably quick learner and can the similarity with Swedish has helped me a bit.
In both class instances, I've had good and not so good teachers. That's why I'm a bit reluctant to go to another school. It's a bit of a waste of time attending classes if you don't get much out of them. I have friends who go to Studieskolan but they have mixed feelings about it, so I am not sure about going there myself.
I really like the sound of the KISS method, as that seems to push the students but I really can't afford that amount of money. I am, however, very keen to get Danish up and running. I understand so much more now and can read to get the gist of something but I'm not great by any standards.
I'm looking for a tutor who can push me. By the end of 2010 I want to be able to hold a conversation confidentally - socially and at work. It's actually starting to send me *insane* that I can't do this :-) So, I am willing to work hard. But, I do wan't someone who can formulate a plan so that if I work at it, I will reach a good standard relatively quickly. I defnitely wan't someone who will know what we're going to cover each lesson, set homework and set weekly goals.
The number of hours for classes will depend on the hourly rate but hopefully if you have an idea of what we can do from now until the end of they year to reach my goal, we can work things out! But essentially two nights a week and maybe Saturday morning or something if needed.
I live and work in Østerbro.
