The reason why i want to learn Vietnamese is quite simple. My girlfriend of some time now is native to Vietnam but is living in singapore. I have gone to Vietnam a few times and on my last visit i met her family, i felt so lost because i couldnt speak the language. As i am getting to the point where i am thinking about marriage and my future with her i would like to make an effort to learn her native tongue so i can converse with her family, and also speak with her in a language besides english. My proficiency level is absolutely beginner. i am willing to dedicate as much time as needed to learn to speak the language as long as it is flexible with my work schedule. The qualities i look for in a lesson teach is some one that can keep me interested, someone that is patient, and someone that understands i try my best but languages are hard for me to learn and is willing ti put in the time if it takes me longer then the average student to pick up aspects of the language.
