I'm learning Russian to speak with my girlfriend's family. She's from Kazakhstan.
I'd like to be reasonably proficient for simple everyday conversation -- to understand and converse with people and of course, be able to read.
I am a total beginner and only know like 5-6 words.
I can come for classes twice a week. I leave for Kazakhstan in 6 weeks.
I'd like a teacher who is fun, patient and understanding . If you're the shouting type, forget it. We'll end up killing each other. :-) Someone who will show me the way and make it fun to learn.
I also want a teacher who will make me speak Russian and not use too much English during class.

I was recently in Russia and would like to go back but I want to speak Russian with my friends there. I am a total beginner except for very basic words. I am quite busy during the week but can find time to do work. If possible weekends or late evenings would be best.
