I want to learn Russian out of personal interest and to keep my brain working.
I have studied on and off for years but never had any need to progress so it has not improved. I need improvement in all areas. I reached a level where I could make veru basic conversation with a Russian.
I would like to do at least one lesson a week plus homework.
I need a teacher who NEVER speaks English. I had a very good experience in Moscow but not in Australia. For some reason the teachers here feel obliged to speak English most of the time.

I am learning Russian to complement my degree in International Studies, broaden my employment opportunities and gain a window into a greater understanding of Russian culture. I would rate myself as an advanced beginner; I completed a full-year university-le vel beginners Russian course in 2009/10. I would like to focus on increasing my conversation skills and expanding my Russian vocabulary. I am willing to dedicate a few hours per week (1-5) to language lessons. I am seeking an instructor who is able to focus on giving me lessons that are geared towards verbal, rather than written language skills.
