I wish to attain a basic level of Finnish in the six months preceding my three month stay in Finland, which will be in June.
I have self-studied Finnish for many years, but haven't attained a level I'm satisfied with.

I am married to a Swedish speaking Finn and we have two small children. She talks to them in Swedish and I would like to be more a part of that. In addition it would be helpful for when her family visits us or we visit them. While I was based in Sweden (Malmo) for about 6 months, my Swedish is non-existant so am an absolute beginner.
