Hi,
I moved to Singapore recently with my wife, and we are looking for Mandarin lessons at a complete beginner's level, mostly conversationa l (to start).
Id eally, we'd like somebody coming to our home for a few hours on weekends to give us private lessons.
Q ualities we are looking for in the teacher are patience and understanding , but also a thought-out and rigourous technique (rather than just vague chit-chat and use of daily vocabulary).

Hi, my name is Nicholas. I am very interested in learning the Korean language because I love the Korean culture and I want to be more immersed in it. I'm pretty sure I'm only at the Beginner stage, learning most of what I know from Korean dramas and songs. I'd like to learn how to converse in Korean on a day to day basis and when I am better, be able to write in Korean. Right now, because my school semester has just begun, I was thinking of having lessons maybe once a week, for maybe 60-90 minutes per lesson. As for qualities I'm looking for in a teacher, he/she has to be patient and be able to teach me well. That's all I ask for! Thank you for your time!

Hi,
I would like to study Mandarin mainly due to my work. I travel to Fujian a lot. Being a Japanese, I can read & write Chinese characters but speaking & listening are horrible. I took a placement test at a Chinese language school a few weeks ago and was told my reading & writing skill is at intermediate level but speaking & listening skill is elementary level. I would like to learn conversationa l Chinese for an hour on one or two days per week.
