Hi there. I am currently looking for a teacher who will help me learn how to speak Hindi. It has been a goal of mine since I was a child. I understand some basic words and phrases, but cannot carry a fluent conversation. I am a obviously a beginner in the language and am looking forward to moving up my proficiency level. Since I am also a university student, I am looking for a teacher who can offer some face to face lessons as well as lessons via e-mail,chat etc due to my busy school schedule.

I would like to learn Hindi, just for personal interest. I've travelled several times to India and am planning another trip for 2009. (Delhi area)
I would prefer to have lessons once a week in person, although I'm not opposed to learn over the Internet. I have never taken Hindi before, although I speak 6 other languages.

I am interested in learning converstation al Hindi. I do have some background in vocabulary, but not in sentence structure. I could dedicate a few hours a week to learning hindi. Qualities I look for in a teacher are competencey in teaching, knowledge, and how well they convey the information to me.
