I have a degree in Russian studies and I studied the Russian language for years. However, I never use it and I want to maintain what I do remember, and expand on what I know. I would like to be fluent one day, or at least reach a point where I can be confident in carrying on a conversation.
I would say that my proficiency level at this point is low intermediate. I have a decent vocabulary, but my conversationa l skills are low. I want to dedicate a few hours a week to my language lessons.
I am looking for a teacher who is patient, but at the same time is not afraid to push me.

I have a Japanese boyfriend and I am very interested in learning more of the culture, also communicating with him better. I will start at beginner level because I only know a few words in Japanese. I am looking to see a teacher about one to two times a week with 1 hour sessions. I would like my teacher to speak fluent Japanese and to also be of Japanese ethnicity.
