I want to learn Arabic because I want to understand more about the country where I am presently working now. Communicating in Arabic is neccessary because I feel like an alien whenever I am trying to communicate with local people. I want to learn both speaking and writing, because this may help me to work more efficient. I know very little in Arabic but I dont have the confindent to use it.
As a student I hope to have a teacher that is good in english and have the quality of a long patience.

I am employed at a local hospital in an administrativ e office. I interact with Arabic speakers all day, and I would like to be comfortable having a basic conversation. I would also like to be able to read, so as to ask what any given word means.
I have been studying on my own for a couple weeks. I am a Beginner level, native English speaker. I do not know any other languages.
I am somewhat familiar with the Arabic alphabet and the different forms of the letter.
My biggest challenge will be learning to speak in basic conversation.

I wouild like to learn Arabic for personal interst, in order to better function and understand the society in which I live, as well as to help fill my time. I am a complete beginner, with the exception of a few words. As a language teacher myself, I am highly aware of how I learn best, and I need a live person to answer the specific questions I have as they arise. I also require someone who is reliable, provides clear learning materials and provides expectations for constant improvement so that I can see restults. Ideally, I would like to meet with my teacher twice a week (perhaps two one-hour sessions), and be given assignments to complete meanwhile to fill the gaps between the times we meet. I would like someone to teach me gulf arabic, the form I hear around me every day. Initially, I value speaking and the ability to read above writing proficiency.
