My proficiency level with Vietnamese is beginner. I have travelled to Vietnam and enjoy the culture, the peoples, and the wonderful food. I plan to do some more travel to other parts of Vietnam and would like to start to learn the language better. I can dedicate approximately 1-2 hrs. per week for private tutoring and would like a teacher who can not only teach me the language, grammer, and phonetics, but also more about the culture as well.

I was born in the states, but my parents are vietnamese. I did not grow up in a vietnamese community so I have a hard time communicating with friends and family in vietnamese. I understand most that is said, but I just am not good at speaking back. I have no knowledge of reading, writing, or grammar. I am looking to take lessons once or twice a week.
