Hi,
I am considering learning Russian because of a girl. But also because I am soon to be divorced, have a physically based job, and need something to put my mind to and focus on.
At this stage I would be interested in only one hour long session per week due to financial constraints. However, my current job leaves me with plenty of time to practice.
I am not sure of any specific qualities I am looking for in a teacher. I take people as they are, and if we work well together then the learning progress will of course be smoother. But someone with patience would most likely be beneficial.

I am a complete beginner, so I think I d have to study at elast 2 hours weekly.

I have had always had a sincere interest in Eastern European and Russian/CIS cultures. Learning Russian will allow me greater access to people, places and day to day life in my travels.
I recently moved to Shanghai from Kazakhstan. I was an ESL teacher there for one year. I have learned some of the basics of day to day conversationa l Russian, but I want to build on my current knowledge.
I need particular improvement in my knowledge of Russian grammar. I know little about it.
I would like to have 2 90 minute lessons per week, usually one on the weekend and one during the week.
I would prefer a teacher in Xuhui, but I am willing to travel. Preference is given to those teachers near a convenient metro stop.
