My name is Stacie and I have been living in Myanmar for 2 years teaching English. I will be returning to Seattle this September and would like to continue learning Burmese and possibly return to Myanmar in the future.
I have only spent about 3 months with a private tutor studying about 3 hours a week. However, living in Myanmar, I have heard a lot of Burmese spoken around me and can get through on some basic things like time, dates, shopping, eating...thin gs like this.
I feel that my reading is pretty good, but my written grammar is not strong.
I mainly want to work on my conversation and reading, but also would like to learn basic written grammar.
I would like to dedicate at least 3 or more hours a week with a tutor. I don't want to just study from books because I find that it is best to practice with a Burmese speaker in order to pronounce words correctly.

Hello,
I am interested in learning spanish. I have taken clases in high school, so I know basic information; but have forgotten many verbs and pretenses. I am looking for a professional language instructor fluent in traditional spanish from Spain. I am able to committ to one 1 1/2 hour class per week. I am looking for a professional instructor who has experience in proper spanish and has one on one instructing experience.

Lived in a Quechua speaking community for 2 years in the 1980's. Did a Ph.D. dissertation. Have returned to the community occasionally, but have lost proficiency in Quechua. Learned Quechua via Spanish. I need to start all over again in order to return to the community, I hope to finish some research projects, but would be happy with conversationa l proficiency. It would be great to have someone in the Seattle area to meet with and to have conversationa l practice. But, I would also be willing to do on-line grammatical study.
