I am actually a parent of a three and a half year old. I would like to have my child exposed to foreign languages at as early an age as possible. I am looking for someone who would be willing, and preferably experienced, in working with children. If possible, I would like to have someone who is available 3 - 4 days per wk, for an hour so each day. I would be willing to have him tutored in my home or yours. Beginner/Inter mediate. I lived in Costa Rica for 3 months about 2 years ago. I want to learn spanish because I am in the health care feild and I want to be able to translate for myself. I am a nurse who has studied medical Spanish for the past year. I just returned from an immersion program in Guatemala, and I'm interested in keeping up the skill. I would say I am at the intermediate level, with good comprehension but more difficulty speaking. I would like to meet for about two hours per week, practicing speaking and listening. I would be happy to do homework the other days. I am also interested in mock patient-nurse interactions so I can learn to speak more fluently with patients.

This is actually for my son. He is almost 15 years old and is a beginner to the Japanese language. He is extremely excited and enthusiastic about learning Japanese, to the point where he has downloaded various teaching guides off of the internet in a attempt to teach himself.
H e needs learning in all areas of the language. His goal is to be able to speak and read proficiently.
Hopefully, 2 hrs a week on weekends- either Sat. or Sun.
