I am learning Portuguese to help me complete field-work during a Fulbright scholarship in Brazil from March-Decembe r of 2012. I am an advanced-inte rmediate level, but I need to improve my pronunciation (I speak fluent Spanish, and have a thick Spanish accent while speaking Portuguese). I would like to dedicate a few hours each day to language lessons in a group setting, 4-5 days/week. In a teacher, I think that patience and a vibrant and engaging personality are key. I want to learn conversationa l and functional Portuguese in a laid-back, yet productive atmosphere.

i am a complete novice in conversationa l portugeese,i have the basics hello goodbye thanks you etc..
my girlfreind is brazilian and none of her family can speak english so i want to learn it so i can talk with her family
im only in brazil this year till june so i dont want to spend too much of my free time studying but maybe 5-10 hours a week for a month but it depends on the price
my teacher should be fluent in portugeese but also in my native language which is english,
m ost importantly she/he should have had experience working in a language school or of teaching languages
