I am interested in learning Urdu so I can communicate with my boyfriend and his family in their native language. I've been having a difficult time finding an Urdu teacher, so I am open to learning Hindi and later picking up Urdu as the languages are quite similar. I have close to zero knowledge of the language -- besides watching Bollywood films! Needless to say, I'll need to start from square one. I would like to do one to two lessons a week, during the day (before 4 pm) and I don't mind travelling across the city to study! My goal is to obtain a basic knowledge of the language, I want to be able to understand and have basic conversations . I would also love to learn the alphabet, but writing is not as important to me in this case as oral communication .

I am interested in language lessons in Urdu because I want my children to learn this language.
Th ey can understand the vocabulary and can communicate in the language quite well.
One of my children is 8 years old and the others are above 18 years of age.
Their improvement in grammar, reading, writing needs improvement.
If classes are held on a weekly basis - twice a week would be ideal.
The teacher should be intelligent, friendly and be able to communicate with me my childrens weakness.

I would like to learn Urdu for conversationa l reasons. I am a beginner with little or no knowledge of the language. I would like to learn conversationa l but could use some practice reading as well. I would like to dedicate 1-2 days a week for class and about half an hour per day for homework. I would like my teacher to be friendly and patient.
