Description |
Why: My girlfriend is Norwegian and there is every chance that we might move to Norway together sometime in the future.
Proficiency: Beginner - I have learnt the alphabet, basic counting and days. I can give basic greetings and i have been told by many norwegians that i pronounce the words very well. I am steadly learning and increasing my vocabulary.
Areas of improvement:
I wish to improve everything in general, however I am not having as much trouble as remembering the words as to correctly phrasing them in a sentance with proper grammer. The sooner I can start reading books in Norsk the better I will become at not only sentance structure and grammer, but the style of speech, humour etc...
Wil l dedicate at least half an hour per day to learning Norsk. A teacher who is open minded, patient and has a sense of humour.

Hi, my name is Robert Sabo. I would like to learn Norwegian because I plan on moving there in a couple of years. I would like to study Music Composition at the Norwegian Academy of Music, and set up a life for myself over there. My proficiency level is very much at a beginners standard, but I have gotten myself a CD course, 'Teach Yourself Norwegian', to give me a head start. It's great, but I feel I would learn faster and better with a teacher to work with.
As I said, I am a beginner, so I'd need to start from the very basics. However, I feel I'm picking it up rather quickly already; maybe this is because of my Hungarian background and familiarity with that language. I would ideally like to take a class a week; perhaps two classes. All up, a few hours a week. I won't know really how much until I know the availabilitie s of the teacher :D
Ideal ly, I'm looking for a teacher who is patient, friendly and understanding . I am a fast learner, so that won't be an issue. However, I find it easier to learn with someone who understands my position.
Anyways, many thanks for reading this far; I hope to hear from some of you soon.

Description |
As a American citizen, I am currently planning my second visit to Sydney Australia, before moving to Norway for marriage. It is in my best interest to have a strong understanding or base of the Norwegian language prior to my move there. This means I am looking for a one-on-one or group tutor to work with me in a structured curriculum setting to learn the language, close to or in downtown Sydney Australia. At a minimum, I will have a few months to accomplish my goal.

Description |
Hi, My name is Christine, I was born in Norway but immigrated to Australia with my family when I was very young. My parents way of learning english was to speak only english at home so my brothers and I have lost what little we knew.
The last time I visited relatives in Oslo I started to pick up the language again after a few weeks (almost at the end of my trip), however this time I would like to get a head start and be able to speak Norwegian more confidently and hold a conversation with my family from the time I get there.
I am leaving for Norway early next year at th end of January so I'm looking for someone to teach me the basics and to hold conversations with for an hour or so each week. It's lost in my mind there somewhere and only need to be brought back to the surface again LOL
