I have a strong inclination towards more traditional academic languages such as Latin, French and Italian as well as a penchance for literary works in the classical and romantic languages.
Whilst English translations satiate a general curiousity, there is no substitute for the texts of Dumas, Cervantes, Dante and so many other masters than in its natural language with all its nuances and intonations.

We are moving to Singapore summer 2010 from Germany. Our two children boy and girl from different parts of the country will attend German European School Singapore, that does not provide Latin for 8th grade in 2010/11. Both have learned Latin in Germany for 2 years and are planned to return to Germany summer 2011 and be able to continue Latin there. Looking for in person teaching for the one year, German as a teaching language preferred but English possible.

i do not have much prior knowledge, and have only picked up few very basic phrases here and there on my own and would really like official lessons from a good teacher with reasonable rates.

We have two children that have four years of Latin. The children are now in their sophmore and junior year of high school. We are looking for someone to provide instruction so when they return to US next year they are prepared to take AP Latin. We will provide the lesson plan that should be followed. It is anticipated that two to three hour of instruction per week will be required.
We are looking for someone that has either taught latin or has taken Latin course for several years.
