1. I want to learn Japanese because I enjoy learning languages. Since I'm studying Korean I thought it would be a good idea to learn Japanese to. I can also speak Chinese and Cantonese.
2. I am a beginner in Japanese. Never taken any classes before.
3. I would like to be able to converse in Japanese, to learn everyday/ useful phrases.
4. I would like to go to class 3/4 times a week a couple of hours.
5. As for qualities in my teacher it is kind of important that the teacher has a little knowledge in English. The person doesn't have to be fluent at all, but just someone that has a little knowledge in English to make it easier to understand and communicate.

I am interested in studying Japanese once (or twice) a week so that I don't forget what I've learned up until now. I studied Japanese for 3 years at my university and spent one of those years studying abroad in Japan. I'd say my level is low-intermedi ate but my reading is much worse than my speaking. I would like to learn more advanced grammatical patterns and words, catching up on my reading and writing skills while improving my conversation skills.
I am looking for someone who has tutoring experience and can work with and greatly improve my low reading and writing skills. My goal is to be able to read, write, at speak at an college-level /adult-level.
I would prefer a female tutor.

I lived in Japan for 3 years and would love to continue speaking Japanese as to not lose what I've learned. I think that I'm at a low intermediate level. I can understand a lot of spoken Japanese, but have trouble with speaking and reading. I would like to study more as I want to take the JLPT test in 2013. I need a teacher who is willing to challenge me as well as assign homework.
