Hello,
I am interested in learning Hindi, more specifically conversationa l. I can read and write hindi (at slow to moderate pace) and I can speak and understand a little. But I want to be fluent! I feel that this could be an asset plus its always been an interest of mine. I work and go to school but I would dedicate as much time as possible to learning and I travel by bus but that is not a problem for me. I am really committed if I feel I am getting something out of it!
In a teacher, I want someone who is open, nice, clear, teaches well with patience but still advances at a good pace. Teaching should be motivating and fun!

I have no knowledge of Hindi, other than Bollywood movies! Being married 4 years now to my east indian husband, it's time I fully understand how many bad things they've been saying about me! (just joking, my in-laws are beautiful people) I would like to learn the language to expand my horizons, both personally and professionall y and apply it to my work in the insurance industry, as I often have to liase with the Indian community and conduct telephone interviews and client meetings which would make my job much more easier (versus hiring a translator). We also travel international ly and to broaden my languages to include Hindi would be a bonus - I current speak/write current English and Italian.
I am hopeful to learn Hindi and perhaps Punjabi through some informal or small classes and would like to get going on this in the very near future.
