My family has moved to Turkey. I am an American football coach. We are looking for a language teacher/tutor who can come to our house and teach my wife and children once or twice a week. Our children's ages are 7, 5, 3, 1. Obviously the 1 year old will not be tutored right now and probably the 3 year old. However, I guess that depends on the qualities and skills of the teacher. My wife is 34. Everyone is at a beginner's level.
Pro bably in the beginning the most important priority for my family would to be able to have conversations . Grammar can come down the road. My children are shy when it comes to playing on the play ground because they do not know Turkish and they are embarrassed. So a teacher would need to be able to teach them on their level and in the process encourage them and help them build their confidence in speaking the language.
