I am a beginner in Thai. I have never studied Thai, I know a few words and phrases from working at a Thai restaurant. My boyfriends family is Thai and I wish to learn more about the language.
I would appreciate lessons once or twice a week with follow up audio stuff to help practice outside of lessons. I.e. movies, language learning CDs etc. I need a teacher who is patient as I have no experience with tonal based languages and have a hard time learning the different sounds.

Beginner: I am from USA, and I have been living in Bangkok for over a year now. Since I plan to stay for longer in Thailand, I would like to improve my Thai speaking. I am an English teacher, and I teach about 35 hours a week. I would hope to have 2 lessons a week for 1.5 - 2 hours per lesson. I hope my teacher would create activities that I could use the Thai language and not just teach me lexis.

I was born in Thailand but raised in England since I can remember. Therefore my spoken Thai isn't great and Thai writing & reading is non existent. I'd really like to build on my conversationa l skills especially.
I would like to learn Thai to get back in touch with my Thai roots and surprise my family!
As I work full time, I would either have to have the lessons in the evening after work or on the weekend.
I would like a Thai teacher of Thai origin with good written and spoken English as well as lots of patience! I have some friends also interested so this may actually become a small group (of 2 or 3 people) in the future.
