Beginning Japanese. I am learning because I run a business dealing with Japanese motors, and parts, I would like to be able to communicate if I choose to travel abroad. I can dedicate any amount of time needed. I am a beginner in Japanese, and I want to learn to speak it because I plan on visiting Japan sometime in the near future. It is a requirement at my school that each student spend two weeks in a radically different environment in order to graduate, and since my interest in Japan is so huge, and I have been presented with an opportunity to go this summer, I want to learn the language. I would like to focus mainly on conversationa l Japanese, because I think it will be more important for me to be able to speak than read. This said, I know it is important to learn everything about the language and would like to learn how to read and write with correct grammar as well. I would dedicate at least one day a week to my lessons, maybe more, depending on what my parents say. (I am still only in highschool, and I have to depend on them for approval, and usually transportatio n.) The main things I'm looking for in a teacher are someone who is easy to understand and easy to work with.
