I'm interested in learning German because I want to visit the country in a couple years' time, and perhaps work there. I am in the solar energy (photovoltaic s) field and there are very many good opportunities for solar energy companies and research there. Also I am curious about German culture because I have a number of friends from Germany.
I have a beginning level of German, from a summer course I took at the Goethe Institute in Toronto. I am looking for weekly lessons to improve my German, especially conversationa l German.

My proficiency for German is a beginner level. I want to learn the language for a few reasons: First of all, I went to Germany a few years ago, but only knew enough to be polite. I would like to have conversations when I go back in a year and a half; Secondly, I want to better my knowledge to learn multiple languages. I've always wanted to learn German and then Spanish, but found that lack of interaction with a German-speaki ng person makes it difficult. I have the Rosetta Stone for German, as well as many lessons on podcasts. I'd like to spend an hour to two hours a day practicing and learning. As for a teacher, someone who will guide me to fluency would be great.

I am interested in learning German because I am planning a trip there fall of 2010. I would like to be proficient enough in the language to get around town and hold basic conversation. I am a beginner now, knowing only a handful of phrases, at best. I would like to dedicate several hours a week for the next year to learning German. I am looking for a teacher who has a flexible schedule and is well organized in their teaching style.
