Complete beginner.
I volunteered as an English teacher in India for four months last year, and am intending to go back. I would like to learn Hindi for interest's sake... mostly conversationa l Hindi.
Prefe rably, I would like to spend about two hours a week with a tutor.

I have some background of speaking Hindi, but for reading and writing I am a beginner. I would like to learn hindi in order to communicate with family in India and carry on the language to my children. I need particular improvement in reading & writing hindi and as well as in speaking (grammer).
I would like to dedicate as much time as needed up until the end of December, 2006 to learning Hindi.
I am looking for a teacher who is determined to help me learn and who is flexible with timings, at a reasonable cost.

I can speak and understand basic to moderate conversationa l Hindi but need to refine this greatly with respect to vocabulary, subject-verb agreement/ten ses, pronunciation , and overall comfort.
I would be interested in something like a half hour phone conversation once per week, along with an approx 45 minutes in person session focused on conversationa l Hindi. I live at Yonge and College and you must live within 20 minutes walk or subway ride from this, or be willing to meet at an intermediate point.
