I am interested in learning German because I am planning a trip there fall of 2010. I would like to be proficient enough in the language to get around town and hold basic conversation. I am a beginner now, knowing only a handful of phrases, at best. I would like to dedicate several hours a week for the next year to learning German. I will be traveling to Germany this October and desire to have a better understanding of the language. I am a beginner in German. I would like to concentrate on proper pronunciation , basic grammar and simple conversations . I am only available in the evenings or weekends and plan to dedicate approximately 4-6 hours of time with an instructor per week, depending on class rates.
