I am a teacher looking for employment and would like to expand my abilities by being able to teach french.
In order for me to become qualified as a french teacher, I need to take a course. In order to enroll in the course, I need to have either 5 courses from University, or score a 4.5 on the University of Ottawa's TESTCan. I took only one french course in university, but got over 90. I need to learn to speak french in order to pass the test.

* Why you are learning your foreign language
This is my native mother tongue language. I want to, and need to familiarize better with my language in order to better communicate with the true native speakers of my homeland and not broken Arabic accepted by family members. This is my culture, this is my life.
* Your proficiency level (e.g., beginner, etc.) I would say that I am in between beginner and intermediate. I left Arabic classes at a young age when I came to Canada but over the years I've learned to speak a little better, developed very little vocabulary, and CAN read at a limited pace and level. I can write and replicate the letters but I need to get better with the flow. I cannot say that I am witter but if I were told to write something out of a newspaper, I can do that. * The areas in which you feel you need particular improvement (e.g., grammar, conversation, etc.), if any.
Prefe rably my main concern at the moment is reading, vocabulary, conversation, witting, not so sure if I could say grammar. That will come later but at the moment I want the essentials to be able to speak to others and be able to understand the native speakers a little better.
* How much time you want to dedicate to your language lessons.
A s much time as needed to achieve this goal. I am going into university in September but I have free time I can dedicate that's not a problem. I would preferably like to start early as possible then worry about the schedule in university. * What qualities you are looking for in your lessons or in your teacher.
I am looking for someone who has a good sense of humor, who understands the language, and it's roots. I want a teacher who knows the old style and the classics, the nature of the language, and not broken Arabic. Someone who loves to teach and understands the student. Someone who is there because they love to teach and love to reach out to the Arab community.

Description |
Hi there, I would like to work towards becoming completely fluent in all aspects of the French language (oral, written, reading) for both my personal and professional development.
I have taken some beginner to intermediate group French lessons at Collège universitaire de Saint-Bonifac e, but I feel at this point that private, one-on-one lessons would provide greater benefit to my preferred style of learning. I would like to dedicate about 2-3 hours per week for my learning if possible. I would also like a tutor who is friendly and enthusiastic and enjoys helping others learn! Thank you!
