I am learning Japanese for fun but would like to eventually become fluent so that I can maybe use it in my professional life as well. I would also like to live in Japan for a extended period of time. I have been studying off and on since 2000 and have taken lots of classes but have not had a tutor. I passed the JLPT N5 in Dec. 2010 and I'm currently waiting on the results of the JLPT N4 from Dec. 2011. I would be considered intermediate but have a hard time speaking because I'm worried about pronunciation and rememebring the sentence structure. I understand (when listening) pretty well because of Japanese Anime and Dramas but I'm afraid to speak so it takes me a while for me to respond. I would like to do some kind of session video or in person twice a week for (1 hour maybe?) but it depends on the fee. I would like a teacher that can help me get past my fear of speaking and become fluent.

I would like to learn conversationa l Japanese. I am a beginner but do understand quite a bit of Japanese already. I am traveling to Japan in April so I would like to dedicate 1-2 hours per week on lessons. I am looking for someone that is patient, will refer me to to the right sources for additional learning (e.g. books, CD's websites) and someone who is willing to do live, face to face, lessons.

I began learning Japanese during a year long study abroad in Osaka,Japan at Kwansei Gakuin University. I plan on returning to Japan for graduate school in the fall. I would like to improve my Japanese skills to make my time in Japan continuously successful. I would consider myself a beginner still considering there are now gaps in my grammar,vocab , and Kanji usage due to not practicing properly for over a year now. I would like to meet at least twice a week for one hour per meeting.
