To whom it may concern,
Hello, my name is Mark, I am a physician living in Dallas and I very interested in learning spanish. I have a strong desire to communicate with my patients; since I have a significant spanish-speak ing population in my practice. I also want to be able to communicate with my fiance's family who are largely spanish-speak ing only. I have been self-learning for the past year with tapes, books, etc... Now I am ready to take my learning to the next level. I am very serious about my learning and plan to commit 2-4 hours of instruction per week. I am a very analytical learner who prefers rules over root memorization, and when root memorization is/isn't needed I always prefer a lot of repetition. Thank you for your assistance.

My proficiency level is intermediate, I was raised in a home were Spanish was spoken occasionally, but was never taught to speak the language. So I guess I understande a lot more than I speak. I am learning spanish for two reasons. One, to help out my career. Two, to pass down my culture to my children one day, which is very important to me. I feel I need improvement in all areas of the language, in particular conversation. I am willing to dedicate a good chunk of my schedule in order to progress rapidly, as much as 3 times per week, it's something I've been putting off fot too long and I am motivated to begin the journey.

My name is George Malloy. Over the second half of this summer, I will be participating in a study abroad program in Innsbruck, Austria. I am eager to learn as much German as possible between now and when I depart for Austria early in July so I can take full advantage of my travels while in Europe. I have no previous experience in studying German, but I did study Spanish all four years of highschool. I am currently a student at the University of Texas, but will be in Dallas during the month of June.
