My name is Jonathan Thames and I am a student at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. I am majoring in Southeast Asian Studies and am extremely interested in working with the region in any way possible, be it politics/dipl omacy, interpreting, assisting refugees/immi grants here in the U.S.A., or working and living there -- I am also interested in poverty-allev iation, providing food for the hungry, and assisting the marginalized groups in any country. I am fluent in English, proficient in Spanish [Mexican/Sout h American], am studying Mandarin Chinese, and have studied Thai and Khmer[Cambodi an] on my own. I was not able to take the Thai class yet but would like to begin immediately in learning and a tutor is one option I am willing to consider. I am able to dedicate as much as 10 hours a week to language lessons. Thank you!

I REALIZE YOU TEACH RUSSIAN AND SINCE I CANNOT FIND A UKRANIAN TEACHER OR CLASS, RUSSIAN STUDIES WILL SUFFICE AS MOST UKRANIAN PEOPLE ALSO SPEAK THAT LANGUAGE. I HAVE A FIANCE IN CHERNOVTSY AND COMMUNICATION IS VERY DIFFICULT. SHE SPEAKS UKRANIAN AND RUSSIAN SO EITHER WOULD BE OF GREAT HELP.
