Dobrý den. I recently traveled to the Czech Republic and fell in love with it. While there I learned about 10 words. I found out today that I will be returning next year, and this time I'd like to be able to speak to my friends there in their own language. (It wouldn't hurt to be able to read the restaurant menus either.) Beginner- Been to Czech Republic when 12yrs old
Have Czech Relatives- Both grandparents Slovak
I want to learn Czech because I am going their next year to stay with family, I am going to interview them for a documentary I am making. I want to be able to converse with them in Czech. I also would like to be able to understand the similarities with the Slovak language.
I would like to dedicate two hours a week- online video call (Skype), to learning this language.
I am looking for a teacher who can help me place the language between Czech and Slovak, and who is friendly. I would like a teacher who is easy to understand and good at teaching both written and spoken components of the language.
