- I have spent a short while in Japan (about a year) and have a distinct interest in the country, (popular) culture and film, language and its people. I would love to build on the basic knowledge I have. I try to visit Japan once a year.
- Although I have spent time (6 months) at a Japanese language school I feel that my knowledge is slowly seeping away. Once I dust off, I believe I am somewhere between beginner and intermediary.
- I would like to be able to converse so that I can keep up my friendships in Japan, but also learn the underlying grammar; my dream being to be able to read Japanese.
-I am willing to dedicate about 2-3 hours a week. I have been trying to learn by myself (self-study), but have found that I can more easily be inspired with face-to-face learning. I suppose it all depends on how inspired I get!
- I look for passion for the language in a teacher, strictness but understanding when, for example, a week is too busy to put in the time, inspiration.

I want to study Japanese as I have just come back from a year of teaching English in Tokyo.
Unfortunate ly while I was there I didn't have enough money to study and I am not very good at studying on my own and need a little help with understanding things.
I would say I'm a beginner but I can read and write both Hiragana and Katakana and can understand a little.
Mostly I would like to study grammar and kanji as I would like to the JLPT in December 2012.
I guess I would like to study twice a week for mayb two hourse each.
Anyone that can eplain the grammar easily would be good.

I am currently studying Japanese at university. I am looking to improve my conversationa l skills as well as recieve help in going over homework and preparing for exams.
