Hello. I am seeking a personal tutor for the following languages: Spanish(inter mediate), French(interm ediate), Chinese(begin ner), and Arabic(beginn er). I am looking to develop both my conversationa l skills as well as my grammatical understanding of these languages. I would like to dedicate up to 5 hours per week for tuition. I am looking for a tutor who has a 'no-pause' business and casual vocabulary... and someone who is patient when I just don't get it. I am seeking lessons for myself and for my wife. We live in downtown Dallas.

I am at an intermediate level in all languages. I have taken courses and have coursework, I understand pronunciation , intonations, character stroke order (chinese) and have a limited vocabulary. It has been two years since I have seriously studied languages. With my full schedule, I need better structure and motivation to take my learning to the next level. I am interested in learning Mandarin Chinese. I am planning on going over to Taiwan to teach English, the schools say that you don't need any background in speaking Chinese, but I would like to have a foundation of basic communication . I am interested in speaking more than writing but I would like to lean how to write and read as well. I am planning on going to class for my teaching English as a second language licenser in early summer (June through Mid-July 2006). Until then I would like to focus heavily on studying Mandarin. I want to immerse my self in the language before I head out to Taiwan. If you think that you have the skills to be able to train an open minded willing student that will be dedicated to the study please contact me. If you are just looking for some extra cash please don’t bother, I want a dedicated teacher.

I am interested in learning some basic Chinese for conversation and for my personal education. Depending on my ability, I might consider additional study. While I am not sure which dialect to study, most of the lessons that I have seen offer Mandarin.
I would prefer in person study, either in a small group or private lessons, once a week. I do have internet acess and would consider online study as a supplement.
I live in Bridgeport (S. side of Chicago) and work downtown.
I am a professional (accountant) and used to studying so both my interest and my motivation are high
