I am seeking to learn Japanese for a variety of reasons. Mainly, because i have always been deeply interested in Japanese history and culture, and because i would one day like to go there and be a proficient speaker (and not a tourist).
I have attempted learning Japanese by myself but found my motivation to occasionally dwindle. I wouldn't say I'm a complete beginner, but saying i was an intermediate would be a stretch also. A little bit better than beginner.
I would like to be able to speak Japanese fluently one day. So i would need help in all areas.
I would be willing to put a lot of effort into speaking Japanese. I don't know how many lessons i would need a week, but i think that one or two would be enough (to begin with at least).
Th e qualities i would be looking for in a teacher are the qualities anyone looks for in a teacher - clarity, patience, pleasantness, a great understanding of they're subject etc.

My name is A.H. and I'm currently home schooled by my mother so I have limitless time to dedicate toward my goal. I have always been interested in the Japanese culture. I wish to study Japanese in the hope that one day I may study there. I am a beginner, aside from words learned while reading/watch ing anime.
