My children and I are attempting to learn as much Arabic in 1-2 yrs during our temporary stay in Amman. We can understand some Arabic (recognize letters, read small words,and speak a few phrase to hold a conversation) but we are still at the beginner level. We definitely need improvement in grammar, writing as well as conversation. I would like to have 3 consecutive classes per week. I have grouped my kids in two levels. Beginners7-9 yrs. old and the 12,14, and 16 yrs. old in a higher beginners course. I am looking for a tutor who gives importance on building a good relationship with children. There must be mutual respect between student and teacher. The tutor may not need to be certified but have some experience in teaching Arabic as a 2nd language. I would require an interview. I am not looking for a lot of qualification s, certificates, and or accomplishmen t; rather quality in performance. Finally, the tutor must be female and a practicing Muslim. Salary is negotiable and bonuses will be given upon accomplishmen ts.
