To Whom it May Concern,
I would like to learn conversationa l Hindi. I am a complete beginner in this language and I am not of Indian background so I am not familiar with it, either. I want to learn Hindi because my fiance's family is Indian and I would like to be able to interact with them on a more personal level. I would like to learn the basics of grammar and the alphabet (since I speak a language better when I can understand how it is written) and would mostly like to work on conversationa l Hindi. I would like to take in-person lessons and I work well with classes that are larger than one-on-one (so that I can learn with other people). I will be moving to Toronto in July to begin working, so I would like to take lessons in the Toronto area.

I never learned Hindi before. I want to learn hindi for my future travels in India and for my friends, I have a few hindi friends. I would like to concentrate on speaking and grammar more than writing or it will be OK if I will learn a itrans script, I don't know if is it useful. I can dedicate 2 hours on wekeend or maybe moore.

My native language is English & my aunt-sisters are from indian, within me i feel that there's a part of my life is missing that by not knowing what my aunt-sisters native language. The area that i would need help in would be a conversation, etc.
The qualities that my teacher should have is a good sense of humour, funny, understanding .. someone who's honest to their work.
