My wife and I have recently moved to Surabaya and want to learn the language so we can communicate better outside and feel more at home. We have learnt some basic phrases but are still very much beginners. We want to be able to talk and have conversations with other people in Indonesian. German - I'm an English teacher who hopes to teach in Germany. Some fluency in German is required for any kind of work there, and I need regular practice. I know some German words, and studied at a beginning level in college. I understand that all of the functions of language are connected, but at this time I'd prefer an emphasis on speaking rather than writing.
Russian - I'm a low-intermedi ate level Russian speaker. I lived there, and I want to maintain and improve my skills. Because I was taught Russian in Russia, the main focus was speaking not writing. My writing skills are quite poor, and I would like to fix that.
Spanish - I studied Spanish for several years in college, but there wasn't a strong emphasis on speaking. My listening comprehension and speaking skills are quite low, but my reading level is higher. I want to remember what I've already studied and build toward fluency.
