I am looking to learn either japanese or chinese(manda rin). The only reason I want to learn these languages is because I have a passion for languages and have a great interest in languages of the far east, particularly japanese. I am a complete beginner in both languages. I would be willing to dedicate one day of 2-3 hours a week to classes. I would prefer a teacher who speaks either of the two languages as his/her native tongue.

I am looking for in person Japanese speaking lessons anywhere in the Brisbane area. I have travelled to Japan twice and will be returning in a few months.
My goal is to have basic speaking skills to have conversations with people I meet along the way.
I have been practising basic phrases and manners after learning from CD lessons but am finding that I am not learning conversationa l skills suited to my hobbies and interests.
I am looking for around two lessons per week in one on one or small group lessons. I would like lessons both before and continuing after my next trip as I hope to gain fluent but basic speaking skills.
I am seeking a sensei who is happy to focus on speaking as a priority over reading and writing although some skills would be valuable. Preferably someone who is either a native speaker or has spent reasonable time in Japan and can teach a casual and formal version of the language.

I am learning foreign languages for enjoyment. I want to be able to speak in many of them fluently, and be able to travel with ease given this skill. I am currently a beginner in all, save for English (my native language). I would like to be very well learned in each and every language I know. I can give 1hr of my week (4-7PM Mon-Thurs) to personal lessons, and have plenty of time to study through the rest of the week. I wish to find a teacher who is flexible and understanding , in terms of my ability to grasp linguistics.
