I am considering relocating to Bangkok, Thailand, and would like to learn to speak, read, and write in Thai. I have many friends that live in Thailand and I visit there regularly. I want to get exposure to the Thai language, but have difficulty learning from cassettes or cd's. Ideally, I would like to have someone that can teach me in person, but I may have to take lessons over the internet.

I have been to Thailand 3 times, but only know a few simple words, and cannot read Thai at all. I am definitely a beginner, and want to start to learn basic conversation. I'm returning to Thailand in January to visit a friend and her family, so would like some fairly intensive study.
