Hi, I have an interest on Sweden, and plan that in future I can go there for study or work. I had a Swedish bf before, so I learned quite much of the vocabularies, but still consider myself as beginner, also would like to learn more in pronunciation and conversation. I can give 2hrs in each meeting (twice a week will be fine), weekdays after 7pm and weekend anytime before evening. Also if you can do it online once in awhile, I am open for the option. Male or female is not a problem. Friendly and patient, those what I need the most.

Description |
Our daughter (13 y) goes to school and takes french as a second language. She is fluent in Dutch and English. She needs to improve as the level at school is more advanced than what our daughter currently knows. She is past beginner stage but definitely still need lot of basics, so a review of basic rules and grammar are needed.

Description |
I started learning Danish in October 2008 as a means to prevent myself from becoming idle during the school holidays. I chose Danish because I wanted something different from the usual French, Spanish, Japanese etc (my sisters took French so I could easily pick up the language from them if I wanted; I didn't think I sounded very nice in Spanish; I thought Japanese was too hard) Also, weird but true, but I have ALWAYS (since toddler age) been fascinated by IKEA & its origins. I am aware that IKEA is Swedish, but it was through this that I became more aware of the Nordic countries & eventually decided to learn one of their languages. So it is not so much of a 'need to' than a 'want to', so you (as my future potential teacher) can be certain I will not doze off in class or skip classes, because I do have a genuine interest.
This year, my Danish teacher, a very sweet woman of about 60-ish, had to move to Greece with her husband & she left quite abruptly. I thought I could learn the language on my own because she has left me some material, but I realised it is quite hard when there is no one to correct your pronunciation . I have thought about changing & learning a new third language (my second language is Mandarin) but I decided I ought to finish what I started. I do still want to visit Denmark one day & it would be seriously cool to be able to speak the language of Hans Christian Andersen.
So far, I consider myself to be in the beginner's stage. I can read (maybe a bit of help with pronunciation ) & spell (a little rusty there but should be ok after revision). I still can't have full conversation in fluent Danish but if you speak to me in Danish I should be able to understand more than half of what you said.
As a student, I will have school commitments. Before my last teacher left, I had lessons once a week for about 2 hours each. And I had homework which I did religiously. We could work something out for the schedule.
I have no preference in terms of gender or age, I just ask for the lesson to be productive.

Description |
I would like to learn conversationa l Dutch from scratch as I believe that it would help with my career and academical opportunities in the future. I'm willing to spend an average of 2-4hours a week and would be able to work better with a warm motherly teacher who is very informative when i make mistakes.
